Mgr. art. Miriam Garajová

Miriam studied at the Bratislava Conservatory under Professor Mgr.art. Jana Billová and graduated in the class of Professor Mgr.art. Dagmar Podkamenská – Bezačinská, ArtD.
During her studies she performed Sister Angelica in G. Puccini’s opera of the same name. In 2005 she placed first in the Imrich Godin International Voice Performance Competition and received the Music Forum Publisher Award for her performance of W.A. Mozart’s work. From 1999 to 2006 she was a soloist in the Conservatory Chamber Choir and toured Israel, United States and Italy. In 2006 she performed in W.A. Mozart’s Requiem with the Žilina Orchestra. She was cast as First Boy in The Magic Flute, First Vlach in T. Frešo’s opera Martin and the Sun, Morena Priestess in E. Suchoň’s Svätopluk, Amor in C.W. Gluck’s Orpheus and Eurydice and Silvia in The Desert Island by F. Haydn. Her repertoire includes Katarina in V. Kubička’s opera Martin Luther, Frau Fluth in O. Nicolai’s The Merry Wives of Windsor and Fiordiligi in W.A Mozart’s Così fan tutte.
In 2008 Miriam graduated from the opera performance program at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava in the class of Mgr.art. Zlatica Livorová. Alongside her solo performance engagements she has worked as a voice coach for the Bratislava Boys’ Choir.
