Classical music and jazz - the new season of the Bratislava Boys´ Choir
The Bratislava Boys' Choir is preparing a season in which classical music fans and jazz fans will find their "own" music. The audience will be able to hear the ensemble in new productions of the Slovak National Theatre at the concerts of the Slovak Philharmonic or in a cooperation with the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra. The Bratislava Boys´ Choir will perform at the concerts in Slovak cities, but also on foreign concert tours. The choir is led by the laureate of many awards, the conductor Dr. Magdaléna Rovňáková with her son Dr. Gabriel Rovňák.
"The forty – third season of our ensemble will be a premiere in many ways. This year we will enrich our repertoire with opera titles Leoš Janáček's Líška Bystrouška and Hans Humperdinck's Gingerbread House. Our congregation has never collaborated on these works in its history. The project Story of JAZZ Music will also be a novelty for us, thanks to which our singers will get to know this unique genre and they convey it to children throughout Slovakia," says the conductor and director of the Bratislava Boys' Choir Magdaléna Rovňáková
