Traditional Christmas from the Bratislava Boys’ Choir to the whole world!
This year, in collaboration with our artistic partners we again prepared many music surprises for everyone who loves a traditional Christmas. You will be able to see almost every event on television or online as well.
We are deeply honored and privileged that on December 1 we will perform at the Christmas tree lighting ceremony at the Presidential Palace in Bratislava with the participation of Zuzana Čaputová, the president of Slovakia. This event is open to the public and begins at 4:15 PM.
On December 2 we will perform in The Nutcracker in collaboration with the Slovak National Theater Ballet. Until January 7 you will be able to see our singers in this performance 19 times!
On December 11 our boys will perform under the baton of Peter Valentovič, alongside exceptional performers including Lenka Máčiková, Michaela Šebestová, Peter Berger, Gustáv Beláček in the Christmas in Bratislava concert. We are grateful to the Koncerty Agency that we have been able to collaborate on this outstanding event in the Slovak National Theater. You can see the recording on December 25 at 5 p.m. on RTVS 2, the national broadcaster. You can also view the event live through a stream link.

This year, Slovak Philharmonic live audiences as well as its online streaming viewers can take part together. The traditional Christmas concert will be filled with famed carols and Christmas music. The members of the Bratislava Boys Choir will perform alongside Jana Juríčková under the baton of Rastislav Štúr.
“We take pride in over 20 years of collaboration in performing the Christmas concerts with the Slovak Philharmonic. We consider it an expression of recognition and joyful honor that this excellent Slovak orchestra has invited us to be their guests year after year in one of the most beautiful concerts of the year,” says Magdaléna Rovňáková, the conductor of the Bratislava Boys’ Choir.
Our supporters will find much more. We will share our Christmas joy live on TV JOJ morning show on December 19 and again on TV Markíza (December 22). On New Year’s Day at 6 p.m. on our Facebook page you can see the online premiere of the next edition in Slovakia’s largest music education program for the entire family, The Story of Music. This time it is focused on Slovak music. The event took place on September 16 in collaboration with State Philharmonic Košice. Please see more information about our detailed performance schedule at www.bchz.sk
We look forward to seeing you and wish you a very peaceful, joyful and blessed Christmas.
